C2. How shall one attempt to revive an unrecognized print cartridge in a user's printer?

When the printer do not accept and/or recognize the print cartridge, remove the cartridge and place it back again with slight force to attach the cartridge firmly to the printer.

C3. Will compatible cartridges cause damage to the printer?

IUT ink cartridge is integrated with the drop-generating print head. This is different from other designs where the print head and the ink reservoir (cartridge) are separate. When the ink in an IUT ink cartridge is deplete, the cartridge must be replaced together with the print elements as a unit. Thus it will not cause any damage to the printer. In addition, the chemical composition of the IUT inks in a cartridge will not plug the print nozzle and corrode the electronic components inside the head. Nor it will degrade print quality or shorten the usable life of the printer.

C4. How should ink cartridge be stored, maintained and handled to prolong its life?

Notes: when using the IUT ink cartridge

  1. Place the ink cartridge in the sealed packaging and place the box upright, remove the packaging only when starting to use the cartridge. The print cartridge should be stored at room temperature (15-35 degree Celsius, or 59-95 Fahrenheit).
  2. Before one starts to install the ink cartridge onto the printer, always keep the original tape in its place and do not detach the tape from the print head. However, once the tape on the ink cartridge is detached, do not try to replace it. Replacing the tape may damage the print head.
  3. If the ink cartridge packaging had been unsealed and discarded, please place the idle cartridge inside a sealed container. For best printing result, when storing Back ink cartridge, the print nozzle should be pointed upward. When storing Color ink cartridge, the print nozzle should be pointed downward. Do not allow the metal part of the print nozzle to come in contact with any foreign objects.
  4. When the ink cartridge is installed in the printer, please leave it in the cartridge compartment, do not remove the cartridge from the printer other than for cleaning purpose. This will prevent evaporation of the ink or blockage to the ink nozzles.
  5. Please remove the AC electric power plug of the printer from the AC power source only after printing is complete and the printer power is shut down. Please use the power switch on the printer to shut down the printer power.
